I have always enjoyed playing on-line games such as Quake (versions I & II) and Half-Life (mainly 'mods' such as Team Fortress Classic, Counter-Strike & Day of Defeat); I then moved on to Half-Life 2 (usually in 'Team Deathmatch' mode), then Counter-Strike: Source, then on to Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.
- I 'flirted', for a little while, with' America's Army and Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising, but found that both of these were far too realistic, i.e. I tended to die A LOT.
These days you will find me playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 (both the Normal and Vietnam versions); and occasionally, for a change of pace, Medal of Honor.
- If you are looking for a friendly Clan to play for, then consider joining The Old Gits Army; you must be over 25 to join TOGA clan.
Some people say I should get out more, but I do, almost every Friday & Saturday night ;-).
- Please say 'Hi' if you should find me ('IanP') on line.
Speaking of games, you might like to have a go at my shockwave version of that old classic "The Lunar Lander".
I have been programming versions of The Lunar Lander since 1980, when I first implemented it on a Hewlett Packard programmable calculator; since then I have programmed Lunar Lander's in a wide variety of programming languages, including; Unix Shell Script, C, and Visual Basic.
Try typing "Lunar Lander" as the Keywords to search for in any Search Engine, and you will find links to many other versions of this excellent game (most of which are implemented in Java or Flash).
