Cyprus (4-10 April 2009)
Wendy and I were very ready for a relaxing holiday, and the Columbia Beach Resort in the South-West of the island of Cyprus (between Pafos & Limassol) was up to this 'challenge'. The resort was a lovely place to relax (around the Pool, or in the Gardens), and proved very photogenic (as you will see). Using Autostitch I was able to create some very impressive Panorama; mostly of the Resort, but also of a few other interesting places (i.e. on the few occasions when we actually left the resort and went exploring).
SMC Finalists Dinner (20 May 2009)
A few pictures, mostly of Staff, at the Scarborough Management Centre (SMC) Finalists Dinner; celebrating the success (at least we hope so, as the final Assignments & Examinations have not yet been marked) of our Students. I only had my iPhone with me, and it doesn't have a flash, hence the poor quality of the photos.
Beryl's Retirement (05 June 2009)
Beryl Lufkin retired after working for the University College Scarborough / University of Hull for nearly 16 Years. Although she actually retired on the 5th of June, these photos were taken on the 1st, 3rd & 5th, at a variety of celebrations for Beryl's retirement. All of the staff of the University who have worked with Beryl wish her the very best in her retirement; however, the staff of the Scarborough Management Centre will miss you the most.
Northumberland (3-8 July 2009)
Wendy & I went up to Northumberland for a short-break. We stayed in Alnwick for a few days; we explored the Alnwick Gardens; Barter Books provided a good haul of 2nd-hand books; and we had a day out visiting Holy Island & Bamburgh Castle. Then we headed South, and stayed at the excellent Langley Castle Hotel. As well as the 'normal' photos you can also view some pretty good Panorama (created using Autostitch).
SMC Xmas Away Day (17 December 2009)
The SMC Xmas Away Day (2009), took place at the very comfortable Wrea Head Hotel, just to the North of Scarborough. After a fun filled morning, attempting to 'appreciate' different cultures; we broke for lunch (wearing silly hats), then opened our secret Santa presents.
Xmas - with Zoe & Andy (23-27 December 2009)
Wendy & I travelled to Preston, to spend Christmas with Zoe & Andy, where we had a wonderful time. On Christmas Day we started by opening our stocking presents, followed by a brisk/snowy walk, before sitting down to eat far too much for Christmas Lunch, then on to the main present opening frenzy.
