Rules for SIs

We would like you to send as many Statements of Importance (SI) as you please. Before doing it, however, we advised you to take into account the following rules:
  1. SIs are short (no more than 30 words), concise, phrases related, in some way, to the opening question we have agreed on, i.e.:

"We want to explore the forms which emerge from the co-evolution of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and social processes, in order to clarify the resources and values that people can use to affect/effect changes
of a desirable nature".

  1. Please test each SI before you submit it.  Is its negation debatable? If yes, it has passed the negation test.  Does it contribute to accomplishing the purpose of the project? If yes, it has passed the relevance test.

  2. The third rule, which applies from the moment the full list of SI is available to all participants (this will happen on, 10/03/01), is: make productive use of the Infoset, i.e. cultivate all forms of lateral communications with other members of the network.

To send your SIs; download this form (it is a Word 6.0/95 document), save it in your hard disk,  fill it  with as many SIs as wish to send, and email it back to Alfonso Reyes. The deadline is 9th March 2001, 5 p.m. UK time.
